So I am eyeing this '01 Mahindra 4005. Mainly for farm use, garden prep, moving around bales, things like that. By the way, it's diesel, 2WD with around 730 hrs on it. Tires are about 65%. Comes with a 5ft rotary cutter, box blade, tiller, boom pole, and a scraper. They're asking for $8,000. Is this a good deal?

The price is in range for what others have paid for similar Mahindra 4005 units with attachments. With 730 hours and decent tire life, it's not overworked. The included implements add value, esp if they're in working shape. Check if the PTO and hydraulics are running smooth. Any signs of leaks or hard starts?

For $8k, an '01 Mahindra 4005 with 730 hours and all those attachments sounds like a solid deal if its been cared for. The 2WD might hold you back in mud or heavy pulling, but for garden work and moving bales it should handle just fine, just give the hydraulics and service history a good look first
