First day with my 2008 Mahindra 4525

Ok, I finally did it. I finally got my hands on a used 2008 Mahindra 4525 that I've been eyeing from my neighbor's barn for years. It's only got 380 hours on it and still runs fantastic. I spent the day mowing with a 6-foot brush cutter and all I can say is, it's got power. Just curious if there are some mods you would recommend for me, or if you got tips on maintenance schedules.

Nice score. 380 hours is a steal. Those 4525s are tough. Maintenance first. Change every single fluid and filter on it. Oil, hydraulic, fuel, everything. It's old, even with low hours. Easy mods. Swap in some bright LED lights and maybe a new seat. You can load the tires with beet juice if you need more stability. Run it for a while and see what you need. Enjoy it!

For mods, rear work lights and a better seat go a long way, maybe a hydraulic top link if you're swapping implements often, that's all i got

Congrats! But here's the thing: the 4525 is a tank, not a tech marvel. Don't fall into the mod trap. Focus on keeping fluids fresh and seals tight because once something breaks, you'll learn real quick how "fun" Mahindra parts sourcing can be.
