Need parts help for 4025

Looking for some help with a Mahindra 4025 which PTO lever's started to wiggle around when disengaged, though it still locks in and runs just fine when engaged. If anyone has a parts diagram or knows if there's a retention spring setup for that lever, any leads really. I'd be super thankful!

Sound like the detent mechanism is out and you're partially right. There is a spring, but it works alongside a ball. It's usually behind the lever and you shouldn't have too muhc problems taking it out without too muhc disassembly

I think you're on the right track with a missing or worn spring. Have you checked under the cover near the base of the lever? A dealer or Mahindra parts manual could show the setup clearly.

PTO lever's retaining mechanism might be worn or missing a spring, there's usually a small retention spring or detent that keeps the lever snug when disengaged, check for a missing or weak spring behind the lever assembly or worn bushings
