I got a new 6530 last week and have only used it for 6.4 hours. on saturday i was clipping with it and it stopped for a break and then it wouldnt start again. it seems like a safety switch is messed up. The shifter and Hi-Lo are in neutral the PTO is off, but the key does nothing. The battery is fine. horn works, lights turn on. i noticed a loose spring under the fender that might go to a brake light switch or something. i think a wire came loose on a safety switch but i dont know where to look! rather not haul it to the dealer or call a mechanic since i dont have a good trailer for it especially with the front end loader and Sidewinder attached. Any ideas on where to start? ?

Even though the battery is fine a blown fuse can cause a no-start issue. Plus, have you checked all the safety features? If not, check them just in case they are not connected properly or stuck.

sounding like a safetyswitch issue. good thing you found a loose wiring, gotta trace where it should go. but for me, if it's still not leading you to anything , get it checked. let us know how it goes!

Check the seat switch, parking brake, and neutral safety switch. The loose spring might be a clue, so look around the fender and brake light for disconnected wires.

a new one? I don't think you should mess with it, man. you still got warranty, it's better to take it back to the dealer

Do check under the fender for loose wires. Did you already do that? And do look around the seat also. I think one comment here talks about the seat safety switch. @Daddy kay is it? Maybe you can explain more to @ElectroTractor.

It sounds like you're headed in the right direction! I'd begin by checking that loose spring under the fender, it's likely connected to either the brake or the neutral safety switch. Make sure to double-check all the safety switches as well: PTO, brake, and shifter. I had a similar issue with my setup, and it ended up being a loose wire on the neutral switch. Fingers crossed it's a quick fix for you

Loose wire on the neutral switch? How to fix that one? Did you do it on your own or had a repairman work on it?
